Toy Drive

This year we have three neighborhoods that have adopted families; Lakes of Cedar Grove, Cross Creek and Notting Hill.
The gifts could be toys, clothes, household items, etc that these families would be given as Christmas presents.  Without your generosity, this family would not have a Christmas.
Between now and Dec 20th please bring your unwrapped gifts to one of the following locations.
Don't forget to watch for Santa on Christmas Eve as he parades through the neighborhoods that morning collecting your donations.

Christmas Eve Toy Drive

                   Krewe of Hernando’s

Inaugral Santa Claus Caravan

Saturday, December 24th, 2011

Krewe of Hernando is hoping to give three local families a Christmas that they otherwise would not have.  But the Krewe needs your help.

There are many worthy charities this time of year that collect toys, food, and other items to be shared and given to less fortunate people around our area and the world.  These charities are a blessing and do wonderful things.  However, there are people in our own community- Hernando- who are just as underserved.  Krewe of Hernando’s mission is to give back to Hernando and make our community better.

As part of this mission, we are asking if you would consider donating a gift for the family below.  One of the homes in your neighborhood will be accepting gifts and/or donations which will be distributed to the family on Christmas Eve.  The sex, ages, and sizes of the individual family members are listed below:

Mother- Size 26 pants and 3X shirt

Girl - 4 years old, size 6

Boy - 3 years old, size 4 toddler

Boy - 1 year old, 12 months clothes, size 3 diapers

The gifts could be toys, clothes, household items, etc that these families would be given as Christmas presents.  Without your generosity, this family would not have a Christmas.

The dropoff point for your neighborhood will be 1686 Notting Hill Dr.  Please leave the gift (s) unwrapped and return with this flyer, or other label, so we will know which family member should get the gift.  Gifts can be dropped off any day between now and December 15th, and can be left anonymously or with a card.

On Christmas Eve, a caravan of cars will parade through your neighborhood escorted by Hernando police and followed by Santa Claus himself to 1686 Notting Hill Dr.  At this time, Santa will make himself available to the children while the gifts are loaded in the cars to take to the family.  You may bring yourself or your kids to meet and take pictures with Santa at this location.  As the caravan is driving through, the cars will throw candy out to any and all children outside watching, so please encourage your kids to be outside their homes as we pass, whether you can come to the stop or not.

Hopefully you will join us in helping make a local family’s Christmas one to remember, and find the joy that comes with unselfish giving.  Thank you for your consideration, and please look for further information as to the exact timing of the route as we get closer to Christmas Eve.
